This course is designed to teach skills and knowledge for safe and successful emergency care and rescue when definitive medical care is more than an hour away. Students will receive a 16-hour nationally recognized certification in wilderness first aid from a professional wilderness medicine association upon successful completion of the course. This course requires mandatory weekend meeting times. 100% attendance is required to pass this course. Wilderness First Aid certification: Sat., Oct. 24th & Sun., Oct. 25th,, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Weekend meeting times: TBD First in-person class day is Friday October 9th Must petition for permission from the Outdoor Pursuits office, EG-10. There is a $30 PECR and a $302 lab fee associated with this course.
