Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the assessment and intervention roles and responsibilities of occupational therapists working with older adults in a variety of settings for the development of prevention, adaptation, and compensation programs to enhance health and wellness. Students examine the influences of physical, social, cognitive, psychological, cultural, and societal functioning on occupational performance. Strategies to address the impact of age-related changes on engagement in activity and participation will be addressed along with how societal ramifications of aging can be influenced.
