Catalog description

The DNP Scholarly Writing course is a foundational course for students to gain expertise in scholarly writing. Scholarly writing for professionals prepares graduate students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be competent with scholarly writing. This course prepares graduate students to successfully meet the scholarly writing demands of doctoral level writing as well as the writing standards for publication. Practical experience in the application of scholarly writing, including refining APA writing skills, and formatting clinical scholarly project documents necessary for graduate school, publication and employment success will be completed in this course. Students will complete of an analysis of their individual writing strengths and areas of need, the development of a scholarly writing portfolio and plan for continuous improvement writing which will be shared with program course instructors.
