This course is designed to explore contemporary healthcare topics essential to value-based care. The concept of person-centered care will be explored from nursing theoretical perspectives. Key topics related to person-centered care will be examined by integrating knowledge into clinical reasoning and case analysis, assessing actual and potential issues encountered in practice, and demonstrating comprehensive clinical skills and techniques to provide evidence-based interventions. This course will demonstrate the application of theory-guided practice, presence and communication, dignity and living quality, trauma-informed care, culture awareness and cultural sensitivity, compassion and self-care, interdisciplinary practice, LGBTQI, and person-centered healthcare policies. Through the course activities, students are expected to learn how to promote person-centered care across diverse healthcare settings.
