Catalog description

This course prepares nursing faculty with the knowledge and skills related to information and educational technology to promote student learning. Critical evaluation of multimedia and technology in meeting the needs of diverse student populations is explored. Students use computer applications to produce multimedia instructional materials and for course management. Emphasis is placed on application and modeling of sound pedagogical principles and research-based practices. Ethical standards, intellectual property and copyright laws are addressed and applied. NOTE: This course is the 4th in the series only required of those students completing the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education. Prerequisites: NURS 556. Corequisite: NURS 557 (FNP only by permission of instructor).
