This course is the second clinical course in the family nursing sequence. This course addresses family, psychosocial and nursing theories appropriate for intervening with families facing the challenges of midlife. Transitions and crises, coping strategies and the lived experience of having and managing chronic illness are explored as an avenue for understanding the dynamics, health needs and patterns of family systems.
