Catalog description
First in a two-course sequence focusing on the illness phase of the health continuum. Helps students develop sound knowledge base with respect to the dynamic aspects of selected pathological processes, their clinical manifestations, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic modalities. Mechanisms of disease, therapeutic modalities, analysis of laboratory data essential to make nursing decisions in clients’ health status, planning nursing interventions to promote adaptive responses.
