This course examines aspects of global public health nursing in international rural health settings. Students will discuss thought provoking issues such as the role of nurses as first responders in crisis settings, how to treat and manage a humanitarian effort in a setting with limited resources, the development of culturally appropriate training tools, and the nuances of international aid work in complex emergency settings.
