Introduction of health promotion and disease prevention concepts. Exploration of theoretical frameworks that identify factors which influence the health and wellness of social systems. Concepts will be applied to the individual, family, community and governmental systems to understand the factors that influence health behaviors. Classroom and selected learning experiences in the community. Pre-requisites: Courses required for admission to upper-division major in nursing.
