Catalog description

Introduction of health assessments of clients for professional nursing. Application of the nursing process as it applies to safety, nutrition, elimination, sleep, and comfort needs of clients. Students are given the opportunity to apply theory from the classroom to practice in the college laboratory and selected clinical settings. Course builds upon the beginning knowledge introduced concurrently in other nursing courses. Pre-requisites: Courses required for admission to upper-division major in nursing.
