Catalog description
Theoretical, philosophical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual aspects of professional nursing practice are introduced. Content addressed includes communication theory, group theory, interprofessional, interpersonal and nurse-client relationships, interviewing, counseling theory, transcultural concepts, critical thinking, nursing process, and information technology. Students are introduced to nursing theory, research and evidence based practice. Exploration of legal and ethical issues in nursing practice is introduced.
