This course is a continuation of Jazz Piano I. Topics covered will include variations on stylistic comping, and voicings; walking bass lines, chord substitutions, melodic improvisation, and interpretation of standard jazz repertoire. MUSP 259A Secondary Jazz Piano I is a prerequisite for this course; exceptions are made at the discretion of the instructor. Offered regularly in spring.
