Catalog description

A survey of late nineteenth- and twentieth-century compositional techniques and methods of analysis, including scales, chords, rhythmic techniques, approaches to tonality, set theory, and serialism. Prerequisite: MUS 315. Corequisite: Student enrolled in MUS 317 must enroll in MUS 318 the same semester. Every spring.
