This course offers an in-depth exploration of the connection between environmental justice and human rights, highlighting the crucial need for adopting a human rights perspective in tackling environmental challenges. The course is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of the global environmental crises that disproportionately affect vulnerable populations and the legal, ethical, and policy frameworks in place to address these injustices. It takes an interdisciplinary approach to explore the historical and contemporary issues associated with environmental degradation, climate change, and resource distribution and specifically focuses on technical details and solutions that can help address these issues and their impact on marginalized communities across the globe.
