Catalog description

The class will focus on (a) demystifying blockchain technology by studying the Bitcoin blockchain, (b) understanding the Ethereum network for building general-purpose applications that use blockchain technology, and (c) building smart contracts on the Ethereum network using a beginner-friendly programming language called Solidity. The programming part is the last 4 weeks of the course. By the end of the course, you are expected to be able to conceptualize, evaluate, and build applications of blockchain technology (including NFTs) in business and other domains. Traditionally offered in the spring semester.
