Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that enables computers to understand, interpret, and generate human language. It helps bridge the gap between human communication and machine understanding. NLP is transforming business operations by automating tasks like customer support through chatbots and extracting insights from unstructured text. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to NLP, along with practical experience in applying NLP techniques to solve real-world business problems. By the end of the course, students will not only understand the fundamentals of NLP but also how to implement it to enhance business processes and decision-making. PREREQ MIS 311. Offered in the spring semesters.
