Catalog description

This course focuses on modeling methods and IT tools to automatically collect and analyze large volumes of data from web pages and social media sites for descriptive and predictive analysis. This course provides an overview of measures, models, and analysis methods used to study social networks to further business interests within organizations using internal and external social media data sources. Students will also learn programming languages for data collection and analysis. Offered in the Fall semester. Prerequisites: MIS 311 and CQS 311.
