Catalog description

The course provides an introduction to mechanical engineering reliability analysis as well as reliable product design. The goal is to make the student familiar with both the statistical tools as well as the possible failure modes that enable one to model time to failure of products and to use such models during the design phase to ensure reliable product performance. Prerequisite: ME 392 or equivalent course. Offered in the Fall.
