Propagation of sound. Acoustic wave motion. Reflection of sound waves from boundaries. Sound transmission through walls. Sound generation and radiation. Sound propagation in ducts. Acoustic transducers: loudspeakers and microphones. Auditory systems, bioacoustics. Prerequisite: ME535 or ME533, graduate standing in engineering or physics or consent of instructor. Offered in the Spring.
