Catalog description

This course provides engineering students with a comprehensive understanding of operations management principles in engineering-centric environments. It covers key concepts from system design, including facilities and capacity planning, through post-implementation operations such as production planning, supply chain management, lean manufacturing, quality control, and process optimization. Students will learn how to apply engineering techniques to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity in manufacturing and service-based operations. Prerequisites: Senior standing. Offered in the Fall or Spring.
