Fundamentals of computer-aided design, modeling, analysis and optimization. Introduction to finite element method and use of standard packages for design problems. Mechanism simulation. Includes laboratory section. Students entering prior to Fall 2025: Prerequisite: ME 211 with a grade of C- or better. Offered in the Spring semester.
