Topics include basic engineering economics (present worth, discounted cash flow, etc.), feasibility studies, cost estimating, risk analysis, project planning, scheduling and control. Open-ended projects with multiple alternatives strongly emphasized. Professional practice factors in management of projects. Prerequisite: Senior standing or approval of department chair. Offered in the fall semester. 3 credits
