Catalog description

An introduction to point-set topology. Topics include topological spaces, metric spaces, continuity, separation axioms, connectedness and path-connectedness, compactness, and product and quotient spaces. The course builds foundational tools used throughout modern mathematics. Prerequisites: C or better in each of MATH 304, MATH 323, and MATH 330, or consent of instructor. Fall only.
