Catalog description
This course aims to build a foundational knowledge of current literacy research, theory, and practices in primary and secondary school contexts. Topics include an overview of literacy theories, reading and writing process, and the connection of literacy theories to K-12 literacy instruction. Students will have opportunities to conduct a literature review on current literacy research to understand children’s complex literacy development process. Offered: semester offered varies.
