Catalog description

KOR 102 is the second half of the year-long Elementary Korean language curriculum. This course is designed for those who have completed KOR 101 successfully or have acquired the knowledge of the Korean alphabet, greetings, and basic conversational patterns utilizing both the present and past tenses. Students will continue to build a basic level of communicative competence in all four language skills-listening, speaking, reading, and writing-along with an understanding of the Korean culture. Specifically, they will learn to comprehend and utilize the linguistic expressions of desires, intentions, possibilities, reasons, suggestions, obligations, etc. in two or more clauses.
