In this course we will study the key elements of Italian cultural identity, such as cuisine, wine-making, story-telling, music, theater, fashion, and the culture of the coffee shop and of moto-scooters in a crowded urban setting. We will also review grammar, vocabulary, and style, and students will write short papers on topics of interest. PREREQUISITES: ITAL 241 or permission of instructor.
