Catalog description

Explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and decision-making, focusing on how to leverage technology in complex decision systems. Key topics feature predictive analytics, machine learning, and the role of prescriptive analytics and Big Data in optimization. A significant emphasis will be placed on Intelligent Decision Support Systems (IDSS), where students will analyze various typologies and architectures and develop a practical IDSS project. Ethical considerations, including implementation challenges and legal issues, will be considered throughout the course. By the end, students will be equipped to analyze, design, and implement intelligent systems that enhance decision-making across diverse sectors. Prerequisite: INFO 501 and 502. Typically offered at least once every academic year.
