Catalog description

Examines the strategic role of information systems in organizations and how managers plan, design, implement, secure, and govern information systems to support business operations and decision making. Building on core concepts from Information Systems, this course focuses on management and organizational perspectives on systems, including IT infrastructure, databases, telecommunications, e-business, enterprise applications, artificial intelligence, analytics, systems development, and global information systems management. Students will analyze real-world cases, evaluate the impacts of information systems on organizations and society, and develop practical skills for managing digital systems and projects in the modern enterprise. Prerequisite: None. Typically offered once per academic year.
