Catalog description

The Principles of Strength and Condition course is designed to help students learn how to apply physiological principles of strength and conditioning in the development of specific exercise programs for a variety of populations. This course is appropriate for students interested in careers in Exercise Science as well as other related fitness fields. Content covered in this course will help prepare students for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) certification exam or other professional certifications in exercise and fitness. HWS activity courses have strict attendance policies as physical participation in class is a major part of the course. Course fee applies. Refer to the Schedule of Classes.
