Catalog description

Acute and chronic exercise alters the physiology of the human body which can lead to physiological adaptation of different body systems. Students will study various body systems’ response to exercise including neuromuscular, cardiovascular, respiratory and immune. This course explores the health benefits associated with consistent exercise practices and how body movements function to change fitness. HWS activity courses have strict attendance policies as physical participation in class is a major part of the course. Course fee applies. Refer to the Schedule of Classes. This course is cross-listed with NURS 313.
