Catalog description

Introduction to the basic concepts of athletic injuries, including injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment. This course emphasizes anatomy, physiology and the mechanisms for many common athletic injuries. Various modalities for treatment and prevention will be introduced. The lab portion of the class will include common taping and wrapping techniques as well as basic stretching and targeted strengthening components. Course fee applies. Refer to the Schedule of Classes.
