HIST 591 - Teaching College History Professor Meg Leja Fall 2025 Course Description: Teaching College History is designed to support graduate students in beginning their career as post-secondary history educators. The course surveys a variety of methods, philosophies, and approaches to the teaching of history that students can in turn apply to their classes as teaching assistants, discussion leaders, and instructors. Through a combination of discussions, workshops, and informational sessions, graduate students develop comprehensive strategies to expand their instructional skillset and enhance the educational opportunities offered in their classrooms.
