Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the “electrical-based” near-surface geophysical methods and the application of these techniques to environmental and engineering studies. This is an upper level undergraduate mixed with graduate level class and will require significant self-motivation and independent study in preparation for the weekly meetings. Participation in problems set in class is expected. A minimum of time equivalent to one day of fieldwork will be organized for each student: participation in fieldwork is highly recommended as it provides an opportunity to work with the different techniques introduced during the lectures.
