Overview of geological processes (e.g., weathering, erosion, and deposition) acting on the surface of the Earth and how they control landscapes and sediment deposits. Processes, landforms and deposits associated with hillslopes, rivers and floodplains, deserts, glaciated areas, coastlines, and continental shelves. Landform evolution. Format: Three hours of lecture and one laboratory or field trip per week. Notes: Students graded on three exams, laboratory exercises, class participation, and field trips.
