Catalog description

Examination of the role water plays in the natural environment and in societies. The course will include scientific introduction to water at the Earth’s surface. Case studies will examine sea level rise and ocean acidification; water’s impact on society including water scarcity and contamination; flooding, drought, and the changing water cycle; availability of clean water for drinking and sanitation.
