Catalog description
This course introduces the science of climate change through exploring major drivers of global climate, methods for measuring change, and tools for forecasting future conditions. It examines the role of human activities in current climate dynamics and their impact on terrestrial biomes and species diversity both globally and in the U.S. Students will also explore the complex interactions between climate and society across history, analyzing how climate science informs public policy, economic decisions, and social debates at multiple scales.
