Catalog description

This is a course on climate finance and sustainable investing. We will study influential recent academic literature in finance and economics covering the topics of carbon emissions, climate change, natural disasters, pollution, biodiversity loss, and other ESG/sustainability-related issues in sustainable finance. We investigate how those issues are linked to finance and how finance is involved in addressing those issues. We will also examine how different finance subfields interact with those topics. After taking this course, you should have a good overall understanding of the latest developments, impactful research in sustainable finance, and a deep understanding of some topics. Prerequisite MGMT 505.
