Catalog description

The focus of this class is on creating a new venture. The class will focus on the following: Identifying new venture opportunities; evaluating the viability of a new venture; writing a business plan; building an E-team that possesses the attributes necessary for success; financing, starting and operating a business; and creating liquidity for shareholders. Students will also be identifying and exercising entrepreneurial skills through classroom debate and assignments. The main project of this course will be to develop a business plan for a business idea developed by a group of students. The course will culminate in a business plan competition with prizes awarded to the winners.
