ENG 380G Literature of Dreams - In this course we will be writing from dreams, learning about the power of the intuitive, and the various ideas of dreams and their importance from many cultures: how freams initiate vast historical changes, and function as inroads to artistic inspiration. What is necessary for this course is an open mind about the value of the irrational as both a liberating force, and as a trope in global literary traditions: dream theory, lucid dreaming, prophetic dreams, and the various ideas that we are always in the middle of some sort of dream.
