This is a media literacy and audio aesthetics class that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the art of podcasting: its history and connection to earlier sonic and narrative arts, the various podcast techniques and genres that have emerged (true crime, narrative fiction, history, the interview, the audio essay, and more) and how podcasters use sound to create emotion, context, and excitement in their work. Offered regularly.
