This course is designed to improve academic English listening and speaking abilities, as well as providing classroom strategies to assist first year students with their academic career at Binghamton University. Students will have multiple opportunities to practice spoken English in small and large group discussions, in group and individual presentations, as well as in debates. Students will practice their listening ability through listening to TED Talks and other academic-related listening materials. This 4-credit course is offered every fall and spring semester.
