An Introduction to information theory for signal processing and communications theory. Entropy, mutual information, divergence, source coding, channel capacity, hypothesis testing and types. Prerequisite: EECE 301 or equivalent and ISE 261 or equivalent. Offered every fall semester. 3 credits.
