Catalog description

Fundamentals of electric drive systems with applications emphasis. The course offers an integrative treatment of multiple components that make up electric drives, including electrical machines, power-electronics-based converters, mechanical systems, feedback controller design, and the interaction of the drives with the utility grid. Technical elective. Prerequisites: EECE 301 and EECE 323. Offered in spring semester.
