Catalog description
This course provides a comprehensive study of energy storage systems, with a primary focus on batteries. It covers various battery types, their chemistries, operational characteristics, and applications in renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and portable devices. The course also includes battery management systems, electronics relevant to storage applications, safety considerations, and the environmental impact of battery technologies. Prerequisite: EECE 341.
