Catalog description

Physics and applications of electromagnetic fields as encapsulated in the vector form of Maxwell’s equations. Static electrical and magnetic fields, time-varying electromagnetic fields, Poisson’s equations, fundamental laws of electromagnetic fields (including Gauss’s law, Ampere’s law, Faraday’s law, and Biot-Savart’s law), time-harmonic fields, wave propagation, and transmission lines. Numerical techniques. Prerequisites: EECE 260 and MATH 323. Offered every spring semester.
