Catalog description

This is the third course in a three-course sequence to assist middle-level administrators (principals, directors, coordinators, assistant superintendents) in understanding and preparing for the school superintendency. In this third course, students will assess themselves again the conceptual model that presents four types of leadership domains that the successful superintendent must exhibit (instructional, political, organizational, strategic) in both the district and the community environment. Students will create individual scans of open superintendent positions, presenting on all aspects of the district opening, along with presenting a viable entry plan to utilize as part of the interview and onboarding process of shifting into the role of superintendent of schools.
