Catalog description
This course provides basic tools to analyze financial decision making under uncertainty. The focus is given to identification and measurement of risk, hedging, and insurance. It covers insurance regulation, pricing, insurance demand theory, and loss control as well as personal risk management issues. Format: Weekly in-class quizzes, two in-class exams, two reports. NOT OPEN TO STUDENTS WITH CREDIT FOR ECON 439.
