Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamental mathematical concepts and techniques used in economics. It reviews calculus and linear algebra and develops tools such as optimization, comparative statics, and formal proof methods. The emphasis is on strengthening students’ analytical skills and rigor, and on applying mathematical methods to a range of microeconomic and macroeconomic problems.
