Catalog description

This course is an introduction to digital media production. Through a variety of projects, students will learn to use free software to manipulate audio, video, and 3D files for media production. The curriculum includes foundational skills in lighting and composition for photo and video recording, photo editing, video editing, and 3D scanning, modeling, and rendering, all using free software such as Photopea, Capcut, and Blender. The final project will take the form of a piece that combines all the skills learned during the class. Offered regularly.
