Catalog description

Introduces the concepts, structure, techniques and algorithms for use of modern interactive computer graphics systems. Graphics hardware, software system structure. Techniques and algorithms for basic graphics input/output functions. Matrix techniques for transformations and projections. Techniques for two- and three-dimensional modeling, rendering, animation, and visualization. The course will also introduce data-driven algorithms with use of generative AI for applications of image synthesis. Prerequisite: CS375, must have a grade of C- or better. Term frequency of offering varies.
